Description of Species Deciduous trees, to 25 m high; bark smooth, reddish-brown. Leaves alternate, elliptic-lanceolate, or ovate, 17-12 x 4-7.5 cm, narrowed at both ends, entire, glabrous; 3-nerved at base, lateral nerves 6-8 pairs; petioles 2-5 cm long; stipules to 2.2 cm long, ovate-lanceolate. Figs on usually warty short leafless branches or main stem, globose or pyriform, 2-3.5 cm across, on 1 cm long peduncle, orange or pink when ripe; basal bracats 3, triangular-ovate; orifice plain or slightly sunken.
